Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz, has been a Broadway fixture for almost a decade, first appearing at the Gershwin Theater in 2003. Since then it has garnered plenty of critical acclaim, along with a Grammy, three Tony Awards and six Drama Desk awards. Now you can see this spectacular show in Seattle's stunning Paramount Theater. With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and script by Winne Holzman, Wicked appeals to both young and old alike bringing the world of Oz into the 21st century. Proving incredibly popular with Broadway patrons, it arrived at London’s West End in 2006 and has since been produced internationally, in countries such as Japan, Germany and Australia.

Wicked Plot:
The show is adapted from Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, which delves deeper into the character of Elphaba from the 1939 movie and 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Covering both the period before Dorothy’s arrival in Oz and after it, it charts the unlikely friendship of Elphaba and Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. While they share many similarities, their differences soon become a struggle. A love-interest enters the scene and the Wizard’s corrupt government change their friendship and the world they live in.
